How we handle your data

In plain words, because a policy nobody reads protects nobody.

What gets stored

When you complete a tool we store your answers, the score calculated from them, the date, and where you arrived from (for example, a link in a YouTube description). Nothing identifies you unless you give us an email address.

If you give an email address, it is stored against that result so you can reopen it later and so your results stay together if you change device.

What we never do

We do not sell your data, and we do not pass it to advertisers.

Results from these public tools are kept completely separately from clinical records. If you are a client of Mindspan, nothing you do here touches your clinical file.

We do not add you to any mailing list unless you tick the box asking for it. That tick is recorded with your result.

What your partner can see

If you send an invite link AND tick the optional sharing box, the person you invite sees your area-by-area picture — a score out of 100 per area — and never your individual answers. Leave that box unticked and they see nothing of yours, while you still see everything of your own.

Two areas are never shown to another person, whatever you answered: the serious-harm area and the trust area. They are left out of every comparison and out of anything your partner receives.

The invite link you send does not contain your results. It is a separate code that only lets them start their own.

Who at Mindspan sees it

A summary of each completion — the chart and a written interpretation — is emailed to info@mindspan.com.au. That summary does include the serious-harm and trust areas, precisely so that someone who flagged something serious is not missed. It is sent using a third-party email provider.

These tools are not therapy and completing one does not create a treating relationship. Nobody will contact you because of a result unless you ask us to.

Your device

Your results and any unfinished attempt are also saved in your own browser, so refreshing or coming back later does not make you start again. Clearing your browser data removes that copy. Giving an email address is what makes a result durable.

Removing your data

Email info@mindspan.com.au and ask. If you have a results link, include it — that is the fastest way for us to find the record. We will confirm when it is deleted.
